    Founded in 1885, the Builders Exchange of Michigan is a member-owned, not-for-profit organization that works to provide coverage of projects in the planning and bidding phase within Michigan. They work to connect members to a variety of projects, contractors, owners, and architects. Their members are a crucial part of their company in which they strive to get things done and provide the best service to their clients. they love to take on new projects and meet the challenges of the current construction industry.

    They are seeking a self-driven and highly competent Executive Vice President (EVP) to lead and influence their associate towards favorable growth, and to design and direct sustainable strategies that support and enhance their organization operations. The Executive Vice President will provide leadership, strategy, and direction toward the achievement of the mission, values, goals and objectives of the organization by working with the Board of Directors and acting as a liaison between the board, staff employees, company partners, and members.

     

    General Responsibilities

    As the head of the organization, the Executive Vice President will lead and oversee day-to-day business activities, develop and implement organization strategy, maintain fiscal responsibility, and mentor staff members. With your strong entrepreneurial drive and understanding of the commercial construction industry, you will work to communicate the organization’s value to help create an innovative business strategy in obtaining new members and retaining existing ones. You’ll work to create new partnerships within the industry and increase the overall brand awareness for the organization.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
    • Demonstrated operations experience including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial management and reporting
    • Strong background in financial and project management
    • Proven experience leading and managing teams with a servant leadership mindset
    • Effective communication, interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills
