    We are seeking a HR Coordinator to undertake all daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department. This includes recruitment and hiring, payroll including time and attendance, employee benefits, absences and leaves and adhering to HR compliance. An important part of this role is to serve as the liaison between HR and our Personal Care Workers (PCW), ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. Reporting to and assisting the HR Supervisor.

    Our HR Coordinator must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, an expert at multitasking administrative tasks along with delegating tasks to manage workload, a strong background in Human Resource Management having the ability to adopt strategically while managing HR priorities proactively. Continuously demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate for this role, holds an HR-related degree and have experience in our industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.

    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

    • Conducts initial orientation with newly hired personal care workers.

    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs relating to payroll and benefits; disciplinary matters including disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; employee recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

    • Attends and participates in employee performance review meeting, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    • Maintains knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, technology, talent management, and employment law.

    Skills:

    • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
    • Proven experience as an HR Generalist and/or relevant human resources position.
    • At least one year of Human Resource Management experience preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiations, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft 365

    Work Environment: This position is primarily an office-based position.
