DEPARTMENT: Finance (with limited coordination with HR – People & Culture)
REPORTS TO: Controller (primary); works closely with HR – People & Culture
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The HR & Finance Coordinator supports both the Finance team and the Bank’s People & Culture function by owning payroll and accounts payable processing while assisting with limited HR administrative tasks. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll and vendor payments and plays a support role in employee onboarding and documentation. The position reports to the Controller for daily operations, with light coordination with HR for onboarding support. Benefits and HR compliance matters are handled by the Bank’s PEO partner, Engage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll & Accounts Payable (Finance – Reports to Controller)
- Process semi-monthly payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile payroll data and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
- Manage vendor setup, invoice processing, and Avid accounting entries (fixed assets, prepaids).
- Support year-end 1099 NEC and Misc reporting and participate in physical inventory.
HR Administrative Support (in coordination with People & Culture)
- Assist with new employee on boarding by providing general information about benefits and HR policies; refer detailed benefits questions to Engage.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate with HR on employment status changes and support general documentation and internal audits.
- Help route employee inquiries to Engage or HR, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or Accounts Payable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- High level of discretion with confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude under pressure
- Ability to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing payments
- Adding and Maintaining Vendor information
- Adding new Prepaids/Fixed Assets in Avid
- Physical inventory
- Review NEC and Misc 1099 forms
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This role does not manage employee benefits or HR compliance directly. Those functions are now administered through Engage, Endeavor Bank’s PEO partner. The coordinator may assist with onboarding logistics and act as a liaison where helpful but is not responsible for benefits administration or regulatory HR duties.
