The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in human resources, assisting with various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively across departments to foster a positive work environment and support our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Staffing:
- Coordinate the full recruitment cycle including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
2. Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, addressing issues with discretion and confidentiality.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate workplace disputes as necessary.
3. Performance Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes, including regular feedback and appraisal systems.
- Support managers in setting employee goals and conducting performance evaluations.
4. Training and Development:
- Organize and coordinate employee training programs, workshops, and professional development initiatives.
- Assist in identifying training needs and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
5. Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to benefits administration.
6. Policy Development and Compliance:
- Help develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
- Stay current on labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and guiding management on HR-related legal issues.
7. HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Maintain HR records, employee databases, and HR metrics to report on trends and insights to management.
- Assist in preparing HR reports for management meetings.
8. Cultural Development:
- Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, preferably as a generalist in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
