Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR department in various functional areas, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and be adept at fostering a positive work culture that aligns with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Conduct orientation sessions and ensure new hires are acclimated to the company culture.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and concerns.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
- Promote a positive workplace environment by fostering open communication and employee engagement initiatives.
- Performance Management:
- Support the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely feedback and effective communication between managers and employees.
- Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.
- Benefits & Compensation:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries and coordinate open enrollment periods.
- Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Handle personnel records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and assist in the development of training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Coordinate and implement training sessions and workshops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in HR, preferably in a generalist role.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
