    About the Role

    Local property management company is seeking an organized, detail-oriented entry-level HR Generalist to support the HR function across our portfolio of 25 multifamily communities and approximately 100 employees. This is a great opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain broad, hands-on experience in payroll, onboarding, and employee relations while working closely with corporate HR, property teams and regional leadership.

    This is an on-site position based out of our regional/corporate office.

    Responsibilities of this Position

    Payroll Support

    • Assist with processing bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for employees across all 25 communities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
    • Track and verify hours, PTO, and other pay-related data submitted by site teams
    • Help resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee pay questions
    • Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with company policy and applicable law

    Onboarding

    • Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, and orientation logistics for new team members across the portfolio
    • Set up new employees in HR/payroll systems and ensure a smooth first-day experience
    • Serve as a point of contact for new hires during their first weeks, answering benefits and policy questions
    • Maintain onboarding checklists and ensure required documentation is complete and compliant

    Employee Relations

    • Serve as an approachable first point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
    • Help document and escalate employee relations concerns to the HR Manager/Director as needed
    • Support consistent application of company policies across all communities
    • Assist with maintaining employee files and ensuring recordkeeping compliance

    General HR Support

    • Help maintain accurate employee data across HR systems
    • Assist with HR-related reporting and audits
    • Support other HR projects and initiatives as needed

    What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
    • 0–2 years of HR, payroll, or administrative experience (internships welcome)
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive/confidential information
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to support multiple locations at once
    • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Comfort working with HRIS and payroll systems (training provided)
    • A proactive, friendly, and people first customer-service mindset — you enjoy helping people and solving problems
    • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues
