    Goodspeed Merrill is a fast growing, collaborative law firm, and we're looking to bring on an HR Generalist to support our growing team. This role is open due to a valued team member relocating out of state.

    You'll work closely with our Director of HR and play a hands-on role in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and day-to-day HR operations. This is a great role for someone who likes to own their work, move fast, and be truly embedded in the business — with real ownership, visibility, and the ability to make an immediate impact.

    What You'll Do

    • Assist the Director of Human Resources
    • Full-cycle recruiting for legal and administrative roles
    • Coordinate interviews, offers, and onboarding
    • Partner with leadership on hiring needs and people initiatives
    • Administer and support employee benefits programs
    • Manage onboarding, offboarding, HRIS records, and personnel files
    • Assist with performance management and employee relations
    • Support culture, engagement, and internal HR projects
    • Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive employee information

    What We're Looking For

    • 3–5 years of experience in HR
    • Strong recruiting background with the ability to manage multiple searches
    • High attention to detail with strong organization and follow-through
    • Clear, professional communicator comfortable working with leadership
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred

    Nice to Have (Not Required)
