    Job Summary: (This is an onsite job)

    The Human Resource Generalist (UKG Payroll Focus) will assist the Human Resource Manager with complex and specialized administrative tasks including managing and overseeing payroll changes for the Holland site, generating reports, helping employees enroll in benefits and providing support to employees on a variety of tasks.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, headcount tracker, and other key details.
    • Processes employee changes in timekeeping and payroll systems.
    • Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
    • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
    • Assists with the administration of all employee benefits. (Main point of contact for employees.)
    • Plans and supports company-wide meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
    • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Prior Experience with UKG Pro and WFM preferred
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business preferred or equivalent experience.
    • UKG Payroll experience strongly preferred.
    • Three years to five years of human resources experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
    • SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
    • Bilingual candidate preferred.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • This is a first shift position but the candidate needs to be able to help support off shift employees, occasionally.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Qualifications
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Surgical Unit, Outpatient Facility, Primary Care and/ OR Adult Health.
    • Retain current and unrestricted nursing license in the state in which the RN practices.
    • Retain current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or MTN.
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional nursing principles, procedures, and techniques.
    • Ability to assess patient condition, recognize adverse signs and symptoms, and react swiftly in emergency situations.
    • Ability to set realistic, measurable education goals for patients, taking into consideration patient/family needs, level of understanding and available local resources.
    • Ability to develop and provide individualized and group counseling, guidance, and health instruction with the focus on disease prevention and health maintenance.
    • Ability to teach patients and/or families proper home health care activities, such as giving injections, taking blood pressures, changing wound dressings, etc.
    • Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, including desired effects, side effects, complications, and patient usage considerations.
    • Knowledge of the basic concepts of customer service techniques related to age-specific population.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, Electronic Medical Records and computer maneuverability.
    • Knowledge of pharmacology.
    • Must have exceptional diplomatic communication skills and experience in handling difficult customer situations.
    • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
