    Position: HR Generalist

    A growing professional services firm is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a high-ownership role. The firm values a hands-on approach, initiative, and a polished, people-first mindset.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

    • Full-cycle recruitment for attorney, paralegal, and business support roles

    • Support summer associate program

    • Draft and issue offer letters (1–3 at a time)

    • Provide hiring updates to leadership

    Onboarding & Offboarding

    • Coordinate onboarding meetings and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience

    • Manage offboarding logistics

    Benefits Administration

    • Lead annual open enrollment

    • Add new hires to benefit plans and answer benefits-related questions

    • Work closely with insurance broker and vendors

    • Manually process monthly benefits invoices and HSA funding

    Employee Relations & Engagement

    • Handle occasional ER issues with empathy and discretion

    • Take a thoughtful approach to policy communication and employee support

    HR Operations & Systems

    • Run background checks and employment verifications

    • Use Paychex for processing and documentation

    • Maintain accurate records and compliance

    Ad Hoc Projects

    • Contribute to ongoing HR initiatives and internal improvements as needed

    Must-Haves:

    • Minimum 3 years of true HR Generalist experience (recruiting, benefits, performance management, ER)

    • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment

    • Direct experience managing open enrollment and vendor relationships

    • Proven ability to work independently and operate in lean HR environments

    • Bachelor’s degree required; alternatively, 5+ years of HR experience + SHRM certification

    Nice-to-Haves:

    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification

    • Experience with legal recruiting

    • Exposure to manual benefits billing and HSA contributions

    • Comfort working with external vendors and brokers
