    Job title: HR Generalist - for our client, Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT)

    Location: ** Tualatin, OR – in office**

    Position Status: Part-time, 12-16 hours/week (Tuesday and Thursday preferred)

    How this role transforms workplaces:

    • Works in partnership with Xenium team on all Employee Relations matters for the client.
    • Supports client leadership with other aspects of HR duties and acts as a resource for employees in all different aspects of HR.
    • Acts as point of contact for Human Resources and serves as the liaison between the client and Xenium; participates in the client meetings to discuss HR related assigned topics as needed.
    • In conjunction with the HRBP, provides Human Resource guidance/compliance to client.
    • Responds to HR questions from managers and employees as well as providing disciplinary and coaching support. Utilizes HRBP for assistance/guidance with technical and strategic HR issues.
    • Works collaboratively with the payroll provider to deliver accurate and on time payroll which includes troubleshooting, entry of hours, maintenance and auditing.
    • Assists client with auditing benefits billing for the accounting department.
    • Assists client with Benefits and 401kadministration.
    • Works with managers to ensure that all the proper documentation is in place for all aspects of HR.
    • Participates in employee counseling and termination meetings as appropriate.
    • Coordinates all aspects of terminations in conjunction with the Xenium HRBP.
    • Works with the HRBP in implementing HR project deliverables to include: Employee Handbook, Job Descriptions, Wage Surveys, HR Audits, Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Performance Management Programs, Trainings and other client company objectives.
    • Manages and assists in the development of people systems and recognition programs.
    • Assists managers in the recruiting process which includes drafting and posting of the job opening, screening resumes and candidates, coordination of interviews, offers and pre-employment screenings (checking references, drug screen, and criminal background checks).
    • Schedules and conducts new hire and benefits orientations and delivers follow-up paperwork to Xenium.
    • Assists with tracking on-time performance evaluations. Reviews incoming performance evaluations for completeness.
    • Works with the Xenium team to produce the appropriate leave paperwork and tracks all leaves for employees.
    • Attends monthly safety committee, coordinates with Xenium and client on annual OSHA log for posting and for process set up.
    • Assists client with administration of the workers’ compensation process, including quarterly submissions and potential annual audits.

    Who you’ll work with:

    HR Business Partner, Xenium Specialists, CRKT employees

    Required experience and skills :

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year of college or university and two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work independently.
    • Possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
    • Display empathy while maintaining firm boundaries.
    • Ability to work independently while developing and fostering critical interdepartmental relationships.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

    Preferred skills and certifications:

    • Human Resource certification preferred.

    Xenium HR is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. The starting salary for this role is $32.85-35.47/hour, depending on experience. The hiring team will share more details regarding compensation based on your experience and location during the interview process.
