HIRING: HR DIRECTOR / HR MANAGER — BATON ROUGE, LA

I’m looking for a hands-on HR leader for a growing, established organization in Baton Rouge.

This is not a traditional corporate HR role — and that distinction is important.

I’m specifically looking for someone who has been the primary HR person within a smaller organization and is comfortable owning the full range of HR responsibilities without a team of specialists behind them.

Think: “I AM the HR department.”

This could be a great fit if you have experience with:

    • Employee Relations & performance management
    • Recruiting & hiring
    • Benefits administration
    • FMLA / leave administration
    • HR compliance
    • Policies & procedures
    • Payroll coordination
    • Employee coaching & investigations
    • Supporting managers and executives
    • Handling day-to-day HR issues independently

You may currently be an HR Manager, HR Director, Senior HR Generalist, or Senior HR Business Partner — but your title matters less than the scope of what you actually do.

I'm especially interested in someone who:

    • Has 7+ years of progressive HR experience
    • Has worked as the sole or lead HR professional in a smaller company, location, or division
    • Is comfortable being both strategic AND hands-on
    • Can advise executives while also being approachable to employees
    • Enjoys working in a close-knit, relationship-oriented environment
    • Has a stable employment history and is looking for a long-term opportunity
    • Lives in the Baton Rouge area or has strong ties to the area
    • Is comfortable working 100% onsite and traveling to local locations as needed

HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) and financial-services experience are a plus, but neither is required.

    $95K–$105K + full benefits

    Direct Hire

If you've spent your career in a large organization where recruiting, benefits, compliance, and employee relations were handled by separate departments, this probably isn't the role for you.

If you've been the person everyone comes to when “HR needs to handle it” — I'd love to hear from you.
