    Job Description

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Human Resources Assistant will be providing HR support to the company as well as the temporary staff. This position will work closely with the Human Resources Team, and the Agencies. You will be required to walk the warehouse floor and interact with Management as well as associates, maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

    JOB SETTING DESCRIPTION

    This Human Resource Assistant position, is in a fast paced warehouse that is temperature controlled.

    RESPONSIBILITIES LIST

    • Facilitate effective and timely communication between all levels of employees and management. • Work closely with the staffing company on – sites to ensure that the policies and procedures are being adhered to. • Serve as a backup in the processing of payroll and employee benefits. • Investigate and respond to employee complaints and EEOC charges. • Implement and apply company policies and procedures • Implement, oversee, and monitor the effectiveness of distribution center training initiatives. Conduct training sessions on various HR topics if needed. • Conduct new employee orientation. • Provide advice and counsel on personnel issues. • Investigate and coordinate the resolution of employee issues and conflicts in a timely manner. • Other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be knowledgeable of HR practices • Have extensive knowledge of software applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Be proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, general math, oral communication, and general computer skills. • Exercise good judgment, discretion, accuracy, organizational ability, initiative and strong interpersonal skills. • Self-starter who can work able to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent project and time management skills
