    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Content Marketing Manager will own the creation and direction of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats. The Content Marketing Manager will oversee the entire content production process, from identifying needs, developing content, editing submissions from external writers, publishing, analysis and optimization.  The ultimate goal of these efforts is to increase website traffic and drive engagement, qualified lead generation, customer retention, and other positive client-related outcomes.

    The Content Marketing Manager will help define our brand story, in addition to developing consistency for our brand’s storytelling. Our Content Marketing Manager will also lead the development of our content initiatives to drive new business. They will have a results-orientation that will focus on reporting and analytics, and using this data to optimize content.

    As Content Marketing Manager, you will produce a wide range of projects to include blog posts, e-books, white papers, thought leadership pieces, webcasts, social media, etc.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop strategic content marketing plans that aligns with company's traffic and engagement objectives.
    • Build and manage our editorial calendar serving as a writer yourself and collaborating with external writers.
    • Develop an editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.
    • Create detailed content outlines and briefs that combine research and SEO best practices
    • Serve as editor-in-chief for all content to ensure quality, clarity and consistency
    • Analyze content performance to make data-driven decisions around where to invest content marketing efforts.
    • Manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, creating shareable content, engaging with audiences and growing reach.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and serve as an evangelist for the company through thought leadership, blogging and social media.
    • Develop insights and “out-of-the-box” recommendations to continuously test and improve program effectiveness.
    • Manage the distribution of content across all channels
    • Work closely with the executive team and external writers and designers.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 5+ years content marketing experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus amazing proofing and editing skills
    • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content. 
    • Data driven – able to create thoughtful analysis to make decisions
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Top Social Channels.  An overall passion for learning and using new technology tools
    • Portfolio of past content campaigns and content-related projects
    • Bachelor’s Degree Required, preferably in English, Journalism, Public Relations or a related communication field
    • Tech software industry experience is preferred but not required
