    Job Summary

    We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the human resources department operates smoothly and efficiently, providing maximum value to the company and all employees. Your responsibilities will include organizing training opportunities, onboarding new employees, administering employee benefits, and HR policies for a workforce of 150+ employees. The ideal candidate is an excellent problem-solver with strong verbal and written communication skills and is comfortable communicating with employees, foremen, superintendents, managers, accounting, and company leadership. Highly organized, approachable, accurate, with ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities. and a committed team player. References from previous employers.

    Responsibilities

    Assist in the recruitment and hiring process

    Onboard new employees

    Administer compensation and benefits

    Support the administration of employee benefits, compensation-related records, PTO, leaves, and other HR programs.

    Assist in performance management tasks

    Collect, review, and reconcile employee timecards and timesheets for accuracy and completeness.

    Follow up with employees, foremen, superintendents, and project teams regarding missing, incomplete, or incorrect time. Verify regular hours, overtime, job assignments, classifications, and other payroll-related information before payroll processing.

    Collect human resources data and provide summaries and reports to management

    Occasional travel to project locations

    Qualifications

    3+ years Previous experience as an HR Generalist or related position

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and electronic recordkeeping.

    Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, Applicant Tracking Systems, or timekeeping software preferred.

    Experience with ADP, CareerPlug, ClockShark, Procore, or similar systems is a plus.

    Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred, but not required.

    In-depth knowledge of human resources policies and labor laws

    Compensation & Growth Candidates with strong construction payroll and HR experience who can independently manage timekeeping, onboarding, recruiting, and employee administration may be considered toward the higher end of the pay range.
