Beerman Precision, a family owned, 70-year-old industrial/construction tool and equipment company has an immediate opening for an experienced front counter / inside salesperson for our Houma location. This position is considered the front line of contact with our retail customers therefore, the ideal candidate must possess good communication skills, a positive attitude, and act and look professional.

The primary duties will be:

• Listening to the needs of our customers and providing solutions
• Processing orders, including cash, checks and credit cards
• Handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively
• Supporting walk-in customers
• Logging in tools for repair and handling the transactions of tools being picked up
• Shipping and receiving

Job requirements:

• The position requires strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude and a capacity to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• The physical demands of this role at times require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and walking up and down one flight of stairs.
