Position Overview:
Position is responsible for originating mortgage loans. Position requires the acquiring and review of income, credit and asset information from members for loan approval.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Must have knowledge of Fannie Mae, FHA and Rural Development products
- Answers questions from members and co-workers about mortgage loans
- Meets with members to discuss loan options take loan applications
- Pre-Qualifies and takes mortgage loan applications
- Imports web applications and contacts members within 24 hours for needed information to complete application
- Enters loan applications in loan producer system
- Collects pertinent data for loan approval such as income, credit and asset information
- Communicate approval conditions or denial decisions to members
- Discusses credit issues with members
- Participates in business development with realtors to develop member leads
- Participates in developing training materials for mortgage training sessions. Leads training sessions when needed.
- Participates in adding new products and services and communicates them with AVP of Mortgage Lending to be presented to the CEO
- Updates pipeline on a weekly basis with new applications received, loans withdrawn and loans denied
- Must have a strong commitment to provide exceptional member service
- Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act
- Other projects may be assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- High School diploma
- 2-4 years related experience and working knowledge of loan origination in the mortgage industry and FNMA, FHA and Rural Development
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications
