Seeking an experienced Medical Collector with the ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and physician in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities/Duties not limited to:

• Respond timely to payer denials using insurance appeal policies and specified office policies
• Manage insurance claims and appeals for timely follow-up and resolution
• Call patients to obtain collection when insurance remittance is sent directly to the patient
• Gather the clinical documentation to complete a proper medical review and appeal
• Medical office collections experience required
• Experience with CPT/ ICD10
• Understanding of managed care contracts and prompt pay statutes
• Superior communication and customer service skills and be able to work closely with patients and their insurance companies
• Able to work accurately off of an AR or other reports
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• A team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
• Efficient follow-up collection on outstanding claims
• Knowledge of medical policies for each payer
