    HR Specialist

    We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support a fast-paced highway operations and maintenance project in Denver, CO. This role plays a key part in managing daily administrative functions, supporting field operations, and ensuring accurate coordination of work orders and project documentation.

    Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional second/third shift support as needed.

    Pay: $23–$28 per hour depending on experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain the maintenance management and work order system
    • Create, schedule, and update work orders and daily work reports
    • Support project coordination, permitting, and documentation needs
    • Prepare meeting agendas, take meeting minutes, and organize reports
    • Process and maintain records including claims, certifications, and compliance documents
    • Perform general office duties (filing, data entry, copying, mailing, scanning)
    • Maintain organized electronic and hard copy filing systems
    • Coordinate office supplies, inventory, mail, and vendor needs
    • Greet visitors and support office operations as needed
    • Assist management, field staff, and corporate teams with administrative tasks
    • Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely completion of all assigned work

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn new systems quickly)
    • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic math skills

    Preferred Experience:

    • Administrative or project coordination experience
    • Construction, public works, or transportation industry experience
    • Familiarity with government or DOT projects
    • Experience supporting field teams or subcontractors

    Additional Information:

    This role requires a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can work independently, take initiative, and communicate effectively across teams. Background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening are required prior to hire.
