    HR Specialist – Plant (1st Shift) Northern AL

    Job Summary:

    Performs a variety of complex and routine administrative, technical, and professional HR functions including policies, programs, and procedures to ensure stable team member relations, productive work environment, and company goals and objectives. Coordinate and administer (by means of proactive planning, action, and maintenance), directly or indirectly, the Human Resources functions for the plant in assigned area(s) of Benefits, Compensation, Employment/Recruitment, HRIS, Payroll, Staffing, and Team Member Relations. May provide support assistance to Safety, Security, and Training functions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Serve as a team member advocate in conflict and corrective action situations.

    Coach and advise leadership on performance management, attendance, and employee concerns.

    Investigate compliance issues including harassment, attendance, and workers’ compensation.

    Administer HR programs such as compensation, benefits, payroll, uniforms, and team member services.

    Manage employee records, status changes, and system entries (Oracle, Kronos).

    Lead communication and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

    Coordinate recruiting efforts, interview scheduling, and onboarding processes.

    Support internal communications, recognition events, CSR activities, and team engagement initiatives.

    Generate HR metrics and reports for headcount, attendance, turnover, safety, and compliance.

    Assist in employment verifications, badge management, and temporary staffing coordination.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    Experience: 4+ years in HR generalist roles, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

    Certifications: PHR or SPHR preferred.

    Technical Skills: Experience with HRIS systems, Oracle and Kronos preferred; MS Office proficiency.

    Knowledge: Understanding of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, Title VII, etc.).

    Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, project coordination, and leadership abilities.

    Work Environment:

    Office and manufacturing plant setting.

    Must be flexible to work fixed or rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime.

    Occasional travel (up to 10%).
