    Senior Data Conversion / ETL Specialist (Contract)

    Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
    Duration: 1 year+ contract

    The Need

    We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Data Conversion / ETL specialist to step into an active implementation and own the migration from JD Edwards (JDE) to Dayforce. This role replaces a departing team member, so execution, reliability, and prior migration experience are critical. This is not a ramp-and-train role.

    HRIS data migration experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with ERP-to-ERP ETL project experience will be considered. Public-sector experience is a nice-to-have—this environment moves deliberately and values process over speed-at-all-costs.

    What You’ll Do

    • Own end-to-end ETL and data conversion during configuration and beyond

    • Extract data from JD Edwards, transform it in SQL Server, and load it into Dayforce

    • Design and maintain ETL processes using T-SQL and SSIS

    • Build complex joins, translations, and transformations across large datasets

    • Clean and validate data (errors, duplicates, inconsistencies) to ensure accuracy and integrity

    • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to understand source and target data requirements

    • Document data mappings, transformation rules, and conversion processes for auditability

    • Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders

    • Share best practices and continuously improve migration processes

    What We’re Looking For

    Must Have

    • Senior-level ETL / data conversion experience

    • Strong SQL Server skills (queries, joins, transformations)

    • Hands-on experience with SSIS

    • Experience on large, multi-month enterprise implementations

    • Automation experience (Python or PowerShell)

    • Comfortable joining an active project with minimal hand-holding

    • Ability to work hybrid in Seattle (2–3 days onsite)

    Nice to Have

    • HRIS migrations (Dayforce, Workday, ADP, etc.) – preferred

    • ERP-to-ERP data migrations (EMR experience is a plus)

    • Public sector or highly regulated environment experience

    • Deep HR functional knowledge

    Not Required

    • College degree

    • Cloud-first data stacks or data science background
