Summary:
The on-site Safety supervisor for the Client is responsible for enforcing all federal, state
and company safety regulations and policies to minimize injuries, accidents and property damage in the
construction project that is awarded to CLIENT. Performs safety inspections and accident investigations on a
regular basis to prevent/correct safety hazards; assures compliance with OSHA standards are being always met at the jobsite. Delivers Safety Orientation to all new hires and conducts/coordinates other training courses for employees/workers, as needed. Works side by side with CLIENT project team in the selection, review, and approval of prospective subcontractor's safety pre-qualification form and management of administrative paperwork and Manages the claims process for incidents.
The Safety Supervisor shall perform, but not be limited to, the following Responsibilities/Essential
Functions:
• Has empowerment from the Contractor's management to enforce CLIENT Client, customer, and
Contractor/Subcontractor safety policies and to take corrective actions to eliminate hazards.
• Maintains programs for Contractor/Subcontractor vehicles, powered industrial vehicles, safety
equipment, firefighting equipment, electrical equipment, and tool inspection.
• Lead the review and approval with CLIENT on-site project team the Contractor/Subcontractor JHA
(Job Hazard Analysis), and any forms and checklists associated with the type of work to be
performed by Contractor/Subcontractor.
• Maintains the Contractor/Subcontractor on-site MSDS library and chemical inventory lists along
with labeling requirements.
• Monitors site safety continuously by performing walkthrough on work areas and conducting random
safety assessments at the job sites. The primary objective is to establish awareness that each
person is responsible for their own safety and the safety of their coworkers.
• Has daily communication with CLIENT on-site project team about Health, Safety, and Environment
performance.
• Maintain up to date uploaded HSE reports into Raken (Database) of jobsite performance, forms,
checklists, pictures, and any other applicable documents as required
.
• Has daily communication with the client Site Representative and attends all required safety
meetings with both Client and the customer.
• Immediately reports to the Client Site Representative any visits or contacts from outside regulatory
agencies and participates in their inspection process.
• Thoroughly investigates and documents all accidents and near misses including injuries and
property damage. The Contractor Site Safety Representative will also assist the Client Site
Representative in conducting root cause analysis for recordables, serious first aids, or high severity
near misses.
• Administers all safety tracking and incident reporting requirements including completing First Aid
Reports, Near Miss Incident and Property Damage Reports, and Occupational Injury and Illness
Investigation Reports.
• Conducts and documents daily and required periodic safety inspections/audits.
• Conducts weekly toolboxes and once a month a safety meeting or as required by client.
• Implements and audits the site emergency response plan and ensures that evacuation drills are
conducted as required or prescribed.
• Conducts and tracks all Contractor/Subcontractor safety induction training including site specific or
customer requirements.
• Monitors the safety daily work permit system for the Contractor/Subcontractor.
• Assists with the development and implementation of site security.
• Maintains site Health, safety and environmental documentation, training, induction, and internal Contractor substance abuse and medical records.
• Has the ability to transport and return injured workers to the Contractor's/Subcontractor's
designated medical providers.
• Monitors or administers the Contractor's substance abuse policies (where applicable).
• Leads and encourages Contractor/Subcontractor participation with Client Basic Safety Process
(BSP) program including Accident Predictive Techniques {APT), Safety Sampling, and Safety
Contact programs

Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a Sc:1fety related discipline preferred; or three to five years related
experience
• Valid Driver's License required
• Preferred certifications: First Aid, CPR, AED, OSHA Recordkeeping
• Preferred CHST, CSP or OHST certification
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel applications
• Demonstrated competency in areas of excavation, crane and rigging practices, scaffolding,
confined spaces, and fall protection systems.
• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
