    Job Description

    The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across the Electrical Equipment Center of Excellence (EECOE) sites. This role leads the execution of established MCG HSE policies, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement in safety performance at the site level. Working in close partnership with the Central Operations Safety Leader, the HSE Manager standardizes HSE processes, oversees regulatory and audit readiness, leads incident investigation, and reinforces operational risk controls across all managed locations. This role focuses on implementation and performance execution ensuring OSHA compliance, strengthening site-level accountability, improving leading and lagging indicators, and embedding a strong safety culture aligned with enterprise standards.

    R **isk Strategy & Governance **

    • Define corporate HSE policies and Cardinal Rules
    • Standardize processes across sites
    • Ensure integration of safety into business strategy

    **Regulatory & Compliance Oversight **

    • Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
    • Lead compliance evaluations and audit programs
    • Manage regulatory inspections and enforcement matters
    • Monitor emerging regulatory risks

    **Incident & Performance Leadership **

    • Oversee incident investigations
    • Coach & review root cause quality and CAPA's
    • Analyze enterprise safety performance (TRIR, DART, leading indicators)
    • Present performance trends to executive leadership

    **Leadership Development & Culture **

    • Develop site-level HSE teams
    • Coach plant leadership on accountability
    • Drive worker participation programs
    • Reinforce stop work authority and reporting culture

    **Contractor & Operational Risk Control **

    • Establish contractor safety standards
    • Approve high-risk operational controls
    • Oversee Management of Change governance
    • Align capital projects with HSE standards

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in: Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field.
    • 5-10 years of progressive HSE experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
    • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
    • Multi-site exposure, preferred.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (general industry)
    • Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
    • Experience with:
      • LOTO
      • MHE / Forklift compliance
      • Fall protection
      • HAZCOM
      • Contractor safety management
      • Environmental compliance fundamentals
    • Must be able to interpret regulations – not just follow checklist

    Preferred Skills

    • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
    • CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
    • CHMM (Environmental focus)
    • ISO 45001 / 14001 Lead Auditor certification
    • OSHA 500/501 trainer authorization
    • Experience harmonizing programs post-acquisition
    • Integrating newly acquired sites into an SMS
    • Advanced KPI dashboard development
    • Trend modeling / leading indicator programs
    • Experience with EHS software platforms
