    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    The interface analyst will establish interfaces between our ASC clients and their business partners so data flows efficiently among all appropriate parties and the ASC's can effectively manage their patients. This team member must be able to follow project plans, and gain an understanding of business and information technology, to facilitate requests and enhancements between the technical team and business team. A high-performer will identify processes for interface improvements that will aid in the development of enhanced interface requirements needed for the business. Quality assurance testing and application function verification may also be necessary when appropriate.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Install and establish interfaces to our ASC business partners
    • Help the project team meet schedule, business and budget objectives
    • Work to drive ultimate utilization, faster adoption and higher proficiency of change impacted on personnel in the organization in order for business results to be achieved
    • Identify areas of improvement to enhance our interface capabilities
    • Analyze, facilitate, model, and organize information in order to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs
    • Support and troubleshoot client issues and do root cause analysis

     KEY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

    • Solid working knowledge of relevant interface/integration technology concepts (e.g. HL7, client-server, querying software and communications protocols)  
    • Strong communication skills, including prioritizing, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building
    • Proven time management and organization skills (must be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines)
    • Effectively organize and manage a challenging workload, including proper prioritization, multi-tasking and maintaining professionalism in stressful situations
    • Customer service attitude (e.g., helpful, responsive, good interpersonal skills)
    • Professional communications and follow-up
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills (e.g., evaluate complex problems and properly judge when assistance is needed)
    • Able to work independently and as part of a tightly integrated team
    • Good documentation skills and attention to detail
    • Good self-assessment skills to identify and recommend training opportunities to enhance technical and professional skills

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

    • 2-3 years work experience in information technology
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a three or more years diversified technical support experience in a corporate environment
    • Associates or Technical School degree with five or more years diversified technical support experience in a corporate environment
    • Minimum of one-two years of experience working with HL7 standard and connectivity

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Work hours may vary and will require periodic overtime to meet business needs, including occasional evening and weekend work for system maintenance and special projects
    • Infrequent travel to client sites may be required

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to lift and move moderately heavy equipment
    • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
    • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
