This is an amazing opportunity for a social media enthusiast work in an active, festival environment with exciting opportunities to capture compelling content every single day.
The Social Media & Content Marketing Intern will report to the Director of Marketing. The primary purpose of the role is generate high quality content to be utilized in a context specific manner on The HUB social media channels and methods including TikTok, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Facebook Stories, LinkedIn, Youtube, Youtube Shorts, Twitter, Snapchat. The content will also be utilized for email marketing and other programs as The HUB grows. The role will also include social media strategies to capture user generated content and repurpose it for HUB use.
Role:
This highly-motivated person will be responsible for capturing the magical moments which happen at The HUB, author supporting content and file/submit posts for approval, as those moments happen daily.
The ideal candidate will have:
Impeccable oral and written communication skills
Mastery of the major social media platforms
Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software
Experience working with the TikTok/ Instagram platforms and a strong understanding of current trends which drive engagement
Strong understanding of TikTok/Instagram and experience in TikTok/Instagram content creation
Ability to create engaging content (images and video) which align with the brand look and feel, bring new ideas to the team, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment
Strong understanding of the social media space, the social communities, conversations, and trends
The ability to create compelling content which “stands out” is critical to the role. This is a great opportunity to showcase creativity.
The ability to work primarily when the “action” happens including evenings and weekends.
The ability to create social media engagement and identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
Perform social media marketing research
The ability to assist with influencer campaign strategy and execution
The ability to respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
Qualifications:
Nice person who loves puppies, kids and families (okay, the 2nd part may be negotiable, but we ARE pet friendly)
Solid experience with a portfolio of relevant examples of work (which may be showcased with personal or brand related social media profiles).
Must have strong organizational skills
Must be motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude
Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
Must be able to be regularly on-site at The HUB in Allen to capture social media content
Tasks:
Capture photo and video content
Help schedule a high volume of social media posts with a focus on all HUB Social Media with a current emphasis on Instagram/TikTok, ensuring imagery and copy are optimized for the audience and platform
Organize and schedule compelling visuals for our social media channels
Assist with copy and editorial writing including drafting social captions & writing stories

Close and distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, stoop to capture all types of content
Working Conditions:
Exposure to heat/cold from weather and mechanical equipment
Moderate to loud noise level
Non-slip shoes required
