    Position Summary

    We're hiring a skilled HVAC Commercial Technician to support our commercial service and install projects across a variety of building types. This is a key technical role suited for someone who takes pride in precision work, understands commercial systems inside and out, and values professionalism and team collaboration. You'll lead or assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, all while delivering exceptional service to our clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    Preventive Maintenance

    • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to optimize performance
    • Clean and replace filters, verify refrigerant levels
    • Verify thermostat functionality, inspect electrical components, and lubricate moving parts

    Diagnostics

    • Identify system issues using diagnostic equipment and tools
    • Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and mechanical problems
    • Recommend and implement effective repair solutions

    Repairs & Replacements

    • Repair or replace components including motors and compressors
    • Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
    • Restore full function through proper practices and procedures in the mechanical industry

    System Testing & Commissioning

    • Perform post-installation testing to verify performance and efficiency
    • Record performance data and submit reports as required

    Customer Interaction

    • Communicate with clients to understand concerns and provide solutions
    • Offer guidance on energy-efficient upgrades and maintenance practices
    • Deliver clear explanations of system issues and proposed work

    Compliance & Safety

    • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards
    • Maintain current knowledge of building codes and HVAC best practices
    • Use appropriate PPE and safe work procedures at all times

    Documentation

    • Complete service logs, repair documentation, and part usage records
    • Submit work orders and invoices in a timely, accurate manner
    • Monitor and manage parts inventory

    Skills & Qualifications

    Required:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
    • 3+ years of HVAC experience (commercial preferred)
    • Strong knowledge of wiring, refrigerants, and HVAC components
    • Proficient with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and repair techniques

    Preferred:

    • EPA 608 Certification
    • Technical certification or training in HVAC systems
    • Experience with rooftop units, split systems, VRF systems, and commercial-grade equipment

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Self-motivated with effective time management

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
    • Work in crawl spaces, attics, or elevated locations
    • Comfortable working in various weather conditions

    Work Environment **

    • Commercial, residential, and industrial job sites
    • Potential for evening, weekend, or on-call shifts during peak seasons
    • Use of safety equipment including gloves, goggles, and masks
