    • Our client is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to join their team. With a long-standing reputation for excellence and a strong commitment to community-focused, sustainable solutions, they offer a collaborative environment where innovation and professional growth are highly valued.
    • The HVAC Design Engineer will prepare design-build drawings and budgets, lead the permit process, coordinate with project managers and external firms, ensure code compliance, provide value engineering, and support project estimation and management while staying updated on industry trends.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop engineering solutions for estimates, including the creation of HVAC system design-build drawings from initial concepts.
    • Manage the permit drawing process to ensure timely submission and approval.
    • Prepare and maintain budgets for design-build projects, ensuring cost control and accuracy.
    • Execute fundamental engineering tasks for non-design-build projects as needed.
    • Facilitate coordination and communication between project managers and external engineering firms to guarantee drawings are reviewed and approved by a Professional Engineer (PE) when required.
    • Provide prompt and clear responses to inquiries from clients, field teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain compliance with current HVAC design standards, codes, and regulations.
    • Recommend value engineering strategies to enhance project efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Monitor industry trends and advancements to suggest improvements and innovations in engineering practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEP) or equivalent
    • 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Proficient in HAP, E20, and AutoCAD software
    • Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC and piping system design
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong ability to prepare and review detailed technical drawings
