On The Way AC is hiring a Comfort Supervisor (Design Specialist / In-Home Closer).
This is for the person who can walk into a home with confidence, validate real design problems with measurable facts, and close the correct solution—without acting like a script-driven salesman.
We are open to experienced closers from HVAC, plumbing, or in-home services who can learn our methods. We're also open to highly technical techs who can sell and want to transition into a high-upside design role.
This is not a “pressure sales” environment. We run a proven process built around being a Confident Advisor: measure correctly, communicate clearly, present options, and deliver 5-star outcomes.
You will sell correct designs —not “boxes” and not bandaids. Our service team identifies true design gaps (airflow, duct issues, sizing mismatches, high static, comfort failures, system safety concerns). You step in to validate, scope, and close the correction.
If you're tired of working for places that overpromise, oversell, or throw installs over the fence—this is a professional lane. We build what we sell, we document what we propose, and we protect the customer experience.
You'll serve residential customers by confirming system/design issues, building a clean scope, and helping the homeowner make a confident decision—while protecting quality, install success, and 5-star service.
Learn our industry leading analysis & design processes along with our softwares
Run service-to-design turnovers when a technician identifies a real system or duct/design issue
Validate findings with measurements (airflow/static/design constraints) and translate them into a correct plan
Present options clearly and professionally—educate without lecturing, guide without pressure
Build scopes that install clean: right equipment, right duct strategy, right accessories, right expectations
Coordinate with install leadership to ensure the sold scope matches how it gets built
Document the design and rationale so production is smooth and callbacks stay low
Protect the brand: we do not sell junk solutions, oversized systems, or “close it and hope” style work
We are very clear about expectations because that's how great teams operate.
Top performers here are:
Consistent (same professional standard every appointment, every home)
Technically credible (you can explain the “why,” not just quote a number)
Process-driven (you follow the system because it works)
Customer-first (you sell what's right—not what's easy)
Accountable (you own scope accuracy, handoffs, and outcomes)
This role runs a structured schedule with qualified opportunities generated through our service process. You're not driving random leads all day hoping something sticks. You're stepping into real situations where a design correction is needed and the customer expects a true professional.
We don't throw you into the field with a pricebook and hope. You'll be trained on our design-correction process, homeowner communication, scope accuracy, and clean handoffs to production. You'll also get direct coaching from operators who do this at a high level—this company is built on execution, not slogans. Our leadership team is active in the industry and education space, and you'll be learning from people who've trained and scaled real teams—not “internet gurus.”
We offer a performance-based structure with meaningful upside. Details will be discussed during the interview based on your background, technical capability, and role level.
This is a commission-forward role built for high producers. Across our leadership's prior operations, it has not been unusual for top performers in comparable roles to earn $250k–$350k+ , with exceptional years much higher depending on volume and scope. If you can produce at a high level, we're structured to support it—and we're also open to aligning terms in a way that makes sense for proven talent.
Proven in-home closing ability (HVAC preferred; similar trades considered)
Strong customer communication and professional presence
Ability to learn and execute a measured, documented design process
Willingness to operate with standards—scope accuracy matters here
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
HVAC service background or strong technical fluency (airflow/static/duct realities)
Experience with design corrections, IAQ/accessories, zoning, duct modifications
Track record of clean documentation and strong handoffs to production
Comfort leading the appointment without “sales vibes”
Apply with your resume or work history. If you can close with integrity, communicate with authority, and you want a lane where standards and performance actually matter—we want to talk.
