HVAC Estimator
Marina Mechanical Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC Estimator to join our team. The HVAC Estimator is responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role plays a critical part in helping the company win bids and maintain profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Review blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Perform take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, equipment, and controls.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to ensure estimates align with project goals.
Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain and update estimating databases and tools.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
Track and analyze historical data to improve accuracy of future estimates.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Construction Management, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in HVAC estimating or related field experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices.
Proficiency in estimating software
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards.
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
