We are an up-and-coming HVAC company based in Pasadena, CA, driven to provide top-tier service and innovative HVAC solutions to our customers. As a startup, we’re looking for a hands-on General Manager to join our team, help us scale, and establish our brand as a leader in the industry.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a dynamic and results-oriented General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HVAC business. This role involves managing technicians, developing and managing the business to a budget, optimizing processes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving operational success. HVAC industry experience and previous management experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
a. Oversee day-to-day operations with the ability to wear multiple hats
b. Organized and strong in following through with tasks
c. Excellent communicator with both the staff and ownership
d. Manage, train, and develop a team of HVAC technicians and support staff.
e. Implement and manage staff in doing things the One Hour franchise way
f. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and employment laws
g. Assist in developing the culture of the company
Financial Management
a. A strategic thinker who can plan out and manage a budget to ensure profitability and cost controls.
b. Must understand how to read a balance sheet, income statement, and manage cashflow
c. Must know how to manage to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
d. Set revenue targets and develop strategies for business growth
e. Oversee pricing strategies and cost estimates for services and contracts
Sales & Marketing
a. Have a good understanding of marketing, especially online marketing
b. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through online reviews
c. Manage marketing vendors to ensure marketing resources are being allocated appropriately
Team Leadership & Development
a. Lead by example
b. Recruit, train, retain and mentor HVAC technicians and support staff
c. Promote a positive “can do” work culture
d. Conduct performance reviews with all staff by setting KPIs and setting clear goals/expectations
e. Schedule trainings for staff both through the programs offered through the franchise and externally
Requirements:
At least 7-10 years of HVAC experience
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
A Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, operations, and industry best practices
Experience leading and managing a team is a must
Proven ability to manage a budget, analyze financial reports, and drive business growth
Ability to handle customer relations
Proficiency in Service Titan is a plus
