The Installation Technician exists to deliver Evergreen’s “No Surprises” promise by owning the full installation, startup, and client handoff of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
This is a field-based, craftsmanship-heavy role. You are the face of Evergreen in the home or on the roof. You own the install day end to end: arrival, protection of the space, equipment set, startup, checklist, and walkthrough.
This role is focused on execution and ownership. You manage a full day of work with precision, communicate clearly with clients and teammates, and leave every job code-compliant, clean, and ready to run without callbacks.
Responsibilities
Own every assigned install from arrival to signed-off client walkthrough
Install, pipe, wire, and start furnaces, heat pumps, AC, ductless, and rooftop units to Evergreen standards and code
Complete Evergreen install checklists, photos, and documentation in the field system on every job
Protect the home/building (drop cloths, booties, cleanup) and leave the jobsite better than you found it
Commission systems and verify operation against manufacturer specs and Evergreen QA standards
Educate clients on system operation, maintenance, warranties, and Evergreen’s “No Surprises” expectations
Coordinate with inspectors and internal teams to close out punch lists quickly
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and truck stock; flag material issues before they impact the job
Requirements
3+ years HVAC installation experience (residential and/or light commercial) preferred
EPA 608 certification and valid driver’s license
Able to read wiring diagrams, install manuals, and basic plans
Comfortable on roofs, in attics/crawlspaces, and lifting 50+ lbs
Professional, clean-cut, and reliable; proud of the work you put your name on
06A or 06B or apprenticeship electrical license
Results
≥95% first-time inspection pass rate on your installs
≤2% workmanship-related callbacks on your work in the first 90 days
Jobs completed on time and within labor/material targets
