Qualifications
- Refrigeration Operator Certification, and one or more of the following certifications and equivalent experience:
* North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Service Technician
* Certification
* HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification
* UA Star HVAC Mastery Certification
* Union workers provide Journeyman certifications
- Must possess EPA 608 Certification, A/C
- Must maintain a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education per year from either NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider programs.
- High Knowledge in HVAC, chillers, and controls, pumps heat exchanger
- Good understanding of 300 to 800 ton chillers and their operations and annual PMs
- Knowledge of hydronic system closed loops heating and chilled loops
- Knowledge of ceramic pump seals
- Experience with electrical high and low voltage A/C D/C
- Experience with low pressure vessels boilers
- Experience with plumbing repairs
- Knowledge on building automation operations
- Knowledge of motor control system
- Knowledge of fire alarm and life safety standards, to include system testing
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance program
- Must be able to pass a government background check
