Mechanical Estimator (Commercial HVAC) – Dallas

A growing commercial mechanical contractor in Dallas is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in commercial HVAC projects.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects including new construction, tenant finish-outs, retrofits, and design-build work across the DFW Metroplex.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Prepare complete bid proposals and scope summaries

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC estimating experience

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, ductwork, piping, and equipment

• Proficiency with estimating software and Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar platforms

• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and organizational skills
