Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and strategically minded HVAC Business Development Manager to lead and expand our HVAC product sales across our Richmond, Harrisonburg, and Waynesboro locations. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and promoting our GE and Fujitsu equipment lines along with ancillary HVAC products. The role combines business development with product oversight and requires a strong understanding of the HVAC industry and market dynamics in the Central Virginia region.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the assigned locations to drive HVAC revenue growth.
- Develop and execute local market strategies to increase sales of HVAC equipment and related ancillary products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and other key partners in the HVAC channel.
- Collaborate with branch teams and sales representatives to target and grow share of wallet with key accounts.
- Assist in equipment Dealer recruitment & development of both equipment lines with potential direct account responsibilities.
Product Oversight & Vendor Management
- Serve as the local product champion for GE and Fujitsu HVAC equipment lines, ensuring product knowledge and alignment across all branches.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and internal leadership to manage pricing, programs, and product availability.
- Support inside and outside sales teams with product training, technical guidance, and sales tools.
- Assist Branch Managers merchandising efforts across locations.
- Coordinate and facilitate necessary product training both internal associates and customers.
Operational & Strategic Support
- Analyze sales performance and market trends to adjust strategies and identify new growth opportunities.
- Monitor inventory levels, work with purchasing to ensure adequate product availability.
- Provide leadership in launching promotions and seasonal campaigns to support HVAC sales initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC sales, business development, or distribution.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, especially ductless and unitary systems.
- Prior experience with GE and/or Fujitsu HVAC products preferred.
- Proven track record of sales growth and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly between existing locations and around the Central VA region.
