HVAC Project Manager / Sr. Project Manager — Mission Critical Construction

    Location: Seattle, WA
    Industry: Mechanical Contracting & Construction
    Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $130,000–$170,000 (DOE, with flexibility)

Lead HVAC scopes on large-scale mission critical projects.

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with strong experience managing HVAC and mechanical scopes on complex, high-value projects — including data centers, high-tech campuses, and advanced manufacturing facilities.

These roles span the entire project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout: estimating, procurement, contracts and budgets, field coordination, and client leadership. Project values typically range from $80M–$500M+, with delivery models designed for speed-to-market and high client visibility.

    What You’ll Do

    • Manage HVAC projects from pursuit through completion, ensuring budget, schedule, and quality goals are met

    • Direct subcontractors, sequencing, and project-specific field efforts

    • Act as the primary liaison with clients, trade partners, and internal teams

    • Lead or support preconstruction efforts including GMP estimates, budgeting, and subcontractor scope reviews

    • Oversee financials, including change orders and pay applications

    • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth initiatives

    What You Bring

    • 5+ years of experience managing large mechanical construction projects (HVAC, piping, or MEP scopes), ideally in mission critical environments

    • Experience overseeing contracts ranging from $20M–$500M+

    • Familiarity with GMP and cost-reimbursable project models

    • Ability to balance client-facing leadership with internal coordination responsibilities

    • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred

    • Proficiency with Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, and PM platforms such as Smartsheet, JDE, or IFS

    Why This Role

    • Join a respected mechanical contractor with strong growth in mission critical markets

    • Lead high-profile projects with top-tier technology clients

    • Work with a collaborative, field-driven team culture

    • Competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for advancement — PM and Sr. PM tracks available depending on experience

    • Current opportunities in Seattle, with additional hiring under way in AZ, CO, ID, and NV — and conversations starting with candidates open to relocating as new projects come online

Important: We’re seeking candidates with construction-side HVAC project management experience in mission critical or similarly fast-paced sectors. Pure design or owner-rep experience will not be a fit.
