Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and selling HVAC systems, products, maintenance agreements, and related services to residential and/or commercial customers. This position plays a critical role in company growth by identifying customer needs, preparing estimates and proposals, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
The ideal candidate is motivated, customer-focused, knowledgeable about HVAC systems, and capable of building long-term client relationships while consistently meeting sales goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with residential and commercial customers.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, prospecting, and lead follow-up.
- Conduct on-site visits to evaluate customer HVAC needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and sales presentations.
- Explain HVAC equipment features, financing options, warranties, and maintenance programs to customers.
- Collaborate with installation and service teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with customers before, during, and after installations or service work.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records within company CRM systems.
- Stay informed regarding current HVAC products, technologies, rebates, and industry trends.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
- Participate in company meetings, training programs, and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
- Basic computer and CRM proficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Experience in HVAC, construction, in-home sales, or related industries.
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy efficiency programs.
- Experience using sales software or estimating platforms.
