Job Description
Qualifications:
Designated Subject Credential in Transportation or Building and Construction.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
- Extreme knowledge of HVAC systems, including residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, diagnostics, and safety practices.
- Requires excellent computer skills, the ability to work independently, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience related to HVAC and/or within the subject area being taught is preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Review and evaluate HVAC program curriculum to ensure compliance with professional standards and state-mandated guidelines.
- Provide data-driven interventions and outreach to meet the changing needs of the HVAC industry.
- Analyze course-level outcomes and surveys to determine and address student needs.
- Provide academic support and advising to students.
- Participate in course design, development, and revision in partnership with program administrators.
- Create lectures, demonstrations, videos, and hands-on instructional activities.
- Develop strategies to improve student retention based on persistence and progression data.
- Support accreditation and advisory processes as needed.
