Location: Mechanicsville, MD Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 DOE Additional Pay: Separate compensation provided for serving as License Holder

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager willing to serve as the License Holder to lead and support our service team while ensuring operational excellence, quality workmanship, and strong financial performance. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys developing technicians, improving processes, and driving results.
You will work closely with the General Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure the service department operates efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and support multi-trade service technicians through coaching, training, and ride-alongs
Ensure quality, safety, and revenue goals are consistently met
Track, analyze, and report on departmental KPIs; identify opportunities for improvement and implement performance-boosting strategies
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard technicians in partnership with the General Manager to meet staffing and budget goals
Manage day-to-day operational functions, including technician payroll, job scheduling, and on-call rotations
Ensure “Right Tech, Right Call” efficiency across service operations
Collaborate with Dispatch and Warehouse teams to streamline parts handling, warranty processing, and truck stock management
Conduct weekly team meetings and ongoing training focused on technical skills, sales performance, and customer service excellence
Required Experience & Qualifications
3–5 years of HVAC experience
Active Maryland Master HVAC License
EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment
