    Overview

    We are seeking an experienced, customer‑focused HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team at Eskimo-Bros AC & Heating serving the Tampa Bay and Sarasota regions. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is technically strong, safety‑minded, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, year‑round service environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Service & Repair

    Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, gas furnaces, air handlers, condensers, mini‑splits, and package units

    Perform routine maintenance, tune‑ups, and system inspections

    Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues

    Recommend repair options and system improvements to customers

    Customer Interaction

    Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, property managers, and business owners

    Provide accurate explanations of findings, repair options, and pricing

    Maintain a clean, respectful presence on job sites

    Documentation & Compliance

    Use Housecall Pro to complete service tickets, estimates, and job notes accurately and on time

    Follow all company safety protocols, EPA regulations, and local code requirements

    Maintain truck inventory and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order

    Team & Operational Support

    Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to ensure efficient scheduling

    Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours or emergency service

    Support training of junior technicians when needed

    Qualifications

    5+ years of HVAC service experience preferred (residential or light commercial)

    EPA 608 Certification required

    Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

    Ability to work in Florida’s heat and humidity, including attic and rooftop environments

    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    Excellent communication and customer‑service skills

    Ability to lift 50+ lbs and use ladders safely

    Preferred Experience (Not Required)

    Proficiency with Housecall Pro software

    Experience with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and variable‑speed equipment

    Familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting processes
