Job Summary: The HVAC technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency. This role involves inspecting HVAC systems, identifying problems, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities:
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This includes cleaning filters, checking fluid levels, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting electrical components.
Repair: Diagnose and repair HVAC system malfunctions, such as mechanical failures, electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, and airflow problems. Replace defective parts as needed.
Troubleshooting: Investigate HVAC system problems by analyzing symptoms, performing tests, and using diagnostic equipment to identify the root cause of issues.
System Upgrades: Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to HVAC systems to improve performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.
Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously. Address their questions, concerns, and requests regarding HVAC systems. Provide explanations and recommendations as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations performed on HVAC systems. Document equipment specifications, service logs, and warranty information.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working on HVAC systems. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, such as refrigerants, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Training: Stay updated on advancements in HVAC technology, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development activities.
Time Management: Time management and organizational skills: the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload effectively, and pay attention to details are also necessary in this role.
Focus on Details: The ability to document work performed and maintain accurate records is required.
Team Work: The ability to work well as a part of a team or alone is required. You must be able to adapt to our team and embody our core values.
Qualifications:
Certification: Valid HVAC technician certification or license preferred. Additional certifications in refrigeration, electrical systems, or environmental regulations are a plus.
Experience: Previous experience working as an HVAC technician or in a related field is desirable. Familiarity with HVAC equipment, tools, and procedures is necessary.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Physical Requirements: You must be able to lift 75 Lbs. We also ask that you are comfortable working on ladders, heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather.
Continued Training: You must be willing to participate in continued training on professional development, updates on industry trends, new equipment, and new regulations.
Character: We require individuals of high character and integrity who will serve our team and clients with honesty.
Working Conditions: HVAC technicians typically work indoors and outdoors, depending on the nature of the job. They may be exposed to extreme temperatures, heights, and noisy environments. This role often requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons.
