Lead HVAC Installer

Job Type: Full-Time Location: Palm Desert, CA Schedule: Monday–Friday (with occasional overtime) Pay: $38–$45 per hour (depending on experience)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems and the ability to lead and mentor installation crews. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise HVAC installation crew on residential and light commercial projects

Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including split systems, package units, heat pumps, furnaces, and ductwork

Ensure installations meet all local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards

Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and installation plans

Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices

Maintain a safe and organized job site

Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members

Troubleshoot installation issues and provide solutions in the field

Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are accounted for and properly used

Qualifications:

5+ years of HVAC installation experience

2+ years in a leadership or lead installer role preferred

Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems

Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams

EPA Certification (required)

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Strong problem-solving and leadership skills

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with duct design and fabrication

Sheet metal experience

Strong customer service skills
