    Role Overview:

    Established in 1992 in Middleburg, Florida, IMC Construction Group is a commercial contractor that provides federal clients—primarily various government agencies and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)—and private sector clients with design/build, general commercial construction and demolition services, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing contracting

    We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician/Mechanic to lead our installation team on a data center project located at the Naval Base Guam. As a working foreman, you will be responsible for installing new DX computer room equipment, VRF office cooling system, supervision of the sheet metal crew, evacuation and charging of DX systems, unit start-ups, and testing. To ensure success, you should have an advanced knowledge of HVAC and DX systems, good mechanical skills, and excellent troubleshooting skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise installation of HVAC and CRAC systems.
    • Layout and supervision of multi-level refrigerant piping trapeze hangers.
    • Assist and supervise all brazing activities.
    • Issue requisitions for tools, supplies and project materials.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics.
    • Observing and testing newly installed systems.
    • Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures.
    • Coordinating with the (CM) Construction Manager and other contractors onsite.
    • Coordinating with IMC Project Manager and CM for all crane lifts.
    • Coordinating with IMC plumbing and fuel oil crews as necessary.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 10+ years of HVAC experience.
    • Previous experience with large DX and/or DX computer room system preferred.
    • Refrigeration certification.

    Capabilities:

    • Strong piping braising and soldering skills.
    • Knowledge of IBC codes.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
    • Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    Working Conditions:

    • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often exposed to the natural elements of cold, heat, moisture, and wind.

    • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

    • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

    Other: Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and obtain base access clearance.
