    Hadco Metal Tradingdistributes and supplies metal products including aluminum, stainless steel, carbon, related alloys, and mechanical grade plastics. Hadco products include plate, sheet, and extensive offerings of long products for general engineering, aerospace, and commercial markets. Our range of precision cutting equipment includes waterjets, band saws, disc plate saws, and shears.

    Hadco Metal Tradingbranches are located strategically in New York, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California with transfer stations located throughout the East, Midwest and West allowing a nationwide presence and coverage with next day delivery capability.

    We are looking to employ a detail-oriented and experienced production planner to create, modify, and manage production schedules. The production planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. You should also be able to closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget.

    Position Summary:

    As a Production Planner you will be responsible for the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure all customer requirements are met.

    Work schedule: Monday-Friday 10:AM-7:00PM

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate sales orders to create suitable production schedules.
    • Estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
    • Manage material and equipment availability, scheduling production, and labor required for production.
    • Work with operations manager to coordinate production in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
    • Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.

    Requirements- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.

    • Proven experience working as a production planner.
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
    • Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.

    You should be proficient in:

    • Lean Manufacturing Principles
    • ISO 9001 Certification Experience
    • Scheduling Experience

    Salary info:

    $35 - $40 / hr
