Overview: As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. Responsibilities:
· Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify any issues or potential hazards.
· Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
· Regularly inspect and maintain building systems, such as fire alarms, security systems, and emergency lighting.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
· Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
· Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and drywall repair.
· Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of facilities, including common areas, restrooms, and break rooms.
· Monitor and replenish supplies necessary for facility maintenance.
· Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
· Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and health standards.
· Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
· Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks.
· Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize tasks and address maintenance needs.
· Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
· Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
