  • Responsibilities

    SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Assists with planning and implementing a comprehensive Social Services program which provides for counseling and other support services for customers and legal representatives in the Center.
    • Identifies medical-related social needs of customers, provides appropriate services to meet the individual, as well as collective needs of customers, and maintains records relating to the customers’ social work needs and care.
    • Consults with the Director of Social Services and other department heads regarding interdisciplinary issues, as well as maintenance of appropriate records.
    • Works directly with customers and legal representatives experiencing personal and environmental difficulties or concerns related to the customer’s physical or emotional condition.

    SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANT  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s in Social Work is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in human services may also be considered.
    • Previous experience in the field required. Previous long term care experience strongly preferred.
    • Needs to possess any Certifications/Licensures required by State regulations.
