A major Japanese cosmetics manufacturer in North Brunswick, New Jersey, is looking for a talented hair stylist to test professional and salon products/prototypes.

＜Job Overview＞ Hair stylist shall perform hair treatments (hair coloring, hair care, styling, perms, shampooing, blow–drying, etc.) to models, mannequin heads or hair swatches, using products/prototypes specified by the company. *Varies from case to case depending on our request.

＜Job Description＞ ・Hair stylist shall use the products/prototypes according to our instructions. ・In accordance with instructions from our employees, fundamental techniques will be performed for basic hair treatments. *Haircuts are generally not performed but may be performed under the direction of our employees. ・In some cases, we request that the treatment be performed using techniques and processes specified by us. ・Feedback to us as needed. ・Hair stylist shall perform the treatment while taking sufficient care to prevent accidents not only to himself/herself but also to the models and our company’s employees. *In the event of an accident, the practitioner shall immediately report it to our employees and follow their instructions. ・ Communicate with models to ensure they are comfortable with the treatment. ・ Keep the salon space clean and tidy. ・Help us fulfill our business objectives.

＜Requirements＞ ・Must have authorization to work in the U.S. ・Temporary Staff must be able to commute to their NJ facility on his/her own. ・New Jersey cosmetology license required. ・Must be an experienced hair stylist (over 3 years). ・Japanese is not required, but English must be spoken (bilingual preferred).

*The frequency of work requests from our company is fluid, with some months having only 1 or 2 requests and others having 10 or more requests per month. *Must have technical skills to work with a wide variety of hair types. No tips allowed.
