    Bilingual Mental Health Clinician (Part Time)

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    The Bilingual Mental Health Clinician (fluent in English and Haitian-Creole /Spanish) will provide clinical services to clients. This position will assist clients in addressing their mental health needs. This includes but is not limited to, screening/assessments, on-going individual therapy, crisis intervention, outreach and care coordination as needed; related duties as assigned.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The major responsibility of this position includes, but are not limited to:

    Conduct intake with clients to obtain information concerning social history, treatment, and other pertinent information.

    Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.

    Clinically evaluate patients to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.

    Review results of psychological evaluations and evaluations to assess client needs.

    Change method and degree of therapy when indicated by client reactions and needs.

    Discuss progress toward goals and objectives, such as medication regimen, family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems, with clients.

    Responsible for carrying a clinical caseload, either online via secured HIPPA Compliant Telehealth platform or face to face at our organization, while maintaining required productivity level.

    Consult external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care, as required.

    Maintain regular contact with other agencies and professionals regarding client progress in the therapeutic treatment milieu through phone calls, letters, and/or monthly reporting.

    Refer clients to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling, as needed maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.

    Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy.

    Establishing positive, trusting rapport with clients

    Attending internal agency meetings and trainings as needed

    Provide 1:1 individual therapy or family therapy for clients enrolled in the BeWell Program

    Run mental health groups on site

    Maintain a caseload of at least 20 clients per week

    Attend weekly supervision with assigned supervisor

    Demonstrate ability to respond to mental health crisis

    Complete psychosocial and treatment plans in a timely manner

    Demonstrate effective communication with supervisor regarding caseload, challenges, referrals etc

    Attend monthly case conferences

    Collaborate with other staff or program managers to assist in treatment for client(s) when needed

    Complete progress notes within 24 hours after session is completed in our EMR system ECW

    *Performs other related duties as required.

    **Clinician has the option to work one remote day

    EDUCATION:

    Master’s degree in related field – social work, mental health counseling etc

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Licensed in NYS – MHC-LP/LMHC/LCSW/LMSW/LMFT

    Have at least 1 year experience in the field post licensure or permit

    Available to work 20 hrs per week Monday-Friday between the hours of 11am-6pm

    Strong verbal, written, & presentation skills.

    Proficient with documentation

    Able to demonstrate good time management and organization skills

    Proficient with Microsoft office software and telecommunication devices

    HIGHLY PREFERRED

    Ability to provide services in English and Haitian-Creole/Spanish

    Compensation & Benefits **

    The base pay range for this position is $40-$43 per hr *
