    Company Description
    Spanish For Entities is a language institute based in Greater Indianapolis. We specialize in providing professional language services, including in-company courses, interpretation, and translation, for agencies, corporations, hospitals, and non-profit organizations. Our programs meet CEFR standards (A1–C2) and are designed to promote professional growth, improve cognitive function, and increase employee engagement. In addition to training, we offer high-quality conference interpreting, community interpreting, and written translation in multiple languages.

    Role Description
    We are seeking a Hakha Chin (Laiholh) Interpreter for a part-time, hybrid position. In this role, you will provide accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation during meetings, interviews, conferences, healthcare appointments, and other assigned events. You may also assist with written translations as needed. This position could be remote or in-person.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Communications, Modern Languages, or a related field (required)
    • Proven experience in community, medical, or simultaneous interpretation
    • Strong proficiency in Hakha Chin (Laiholh) and English (native or near-native fluency in both)
    • Knowledge of professional interpretation protocols and standards
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
    • Cultural competence and sensitivity when working with clients and community members
    • Certification in interpretation or translation (medical, legal, or general) is highly beneficial
    • Experience in healthcare, education, or community services is a plus
