    ****Halcyon is Highly-Recognized Montclair Restaurant for the last 15 years, Located in the Heart of Montclair just steps away from NYC train stations. We are looking for an energetic & passionate Server to join our team.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    -Prepare the dining room with decorations, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils

    -Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies

    -Help guests select food and beverages on the menu; offer specials, suggest courses, identify appropriate drink pairings, answering food preparation questions

    -Remain updated on menu choices, specials, and kitchen inventory

    -Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen and record the guests' preferences while identifying food or dietary requests

    -Serve demands and deliver condiments and drinks to the guests promptly

    -Respond to additional guests requests

    -Properly maintain table setting, refill glasses, and remove empty dishes as appropriate and necessary

    -Conclude dining at the restaurant and deliver the bill with the correct costs to the guests

    -Perform cleaning and contribute to the team effort at the restaurant

    -Adhere to appropriate grooming and appearance standards to best represent the establishment

    Requirements:

    -Previous serving experience is a plus

    -Excellent oral communication is required

    -Positive interpersonal skills are required

    -Must speak and write in fluent or Native English.

    -High school degree or equivalent Skills

    -Knowledge of food service regulations
