    We are seeking to hire an HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST to join our growing Human Resources team located in Lane Cove, Sydney, Australia.

     

    The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for the People and Culture planning and activities of Casa Access Devices. The role will provide counsel, advisory and consultative services to business leaders, in relation to people and culture matters. It will also define and build effective reward frameworks and tools to enable the business growth.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Collaborate with Senior Business Partners, provide input into the development and communication of People and Culture activities and initiatives to support delivery of the business strategy.
    • Work with line managers, deliver actions resulting from the Company engagement survey and focus groups.
    • Ad hoc activities as directed by management.
    • With Senior Business Partner, understand the business and people requirements to deliver key projects.
    • Through consultation with managers develop a view of current talent supply (capability and capacity). Identify talent gaps between supply and demand and develop initiatives to mitigate these gaps.
    • Strengthen and grow the Casa Access Devices Employer Brand to attract the top 10% talent.
    • Assist managers in the selection of candidates for key roles during the recruitment process. (ie Conduct final interviews with Line Managers)
    • Advocate for the business with key external stakeholders.
    • Ensure all requirements are met for the performance review cycle which includes training line managers and team members and objective setting for following cycle.
    • Collate data from the performance review cycle, analyse and deliver reports with suggested actions to Senior Business Partners.
    • Maintain and deliver the relevant tools to complete the annual salary review cycle.
    • Regularly review the effectiveness of reward initiatives and make recommendations to improve.
    • Complete the processing of the annual salary review and bonus program which includes training for line managers and reports for sign off.
    • Complete payment letters for the annual Salary review and bonus program and letters advising of the following financial year’s incentive plan once approved.
    • Provide People and Culture analytics/reporting for the Senior Leadership Team and other identified stakeholders.
    • Complete annual WGEA reporting for Company sign off.
    • Complete any ad hoc requests for people and culture reports to support the business leaders.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resource or equivalent.
    • 5+ to 7 years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or business.
    • Demonstrate trustworthiness, honesty, and high personal standards in dealing with others. Treat other people, including those of different backgrounds, beliefs, and gender, with fairness and respect.
    • Organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple conflicting priorities with a strong sense of detail.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project and experience using Human Resources Information Systems.
    • Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of employees and managers.
    • Ability to professionally handle confidential material and associated issues.
    • Drive change and challenge process improvement in a positive way.
    • Strong team player and willingness to assist team members as needed.
    • Knowledge, understanding, and application of employment laws.
    • Advanced problem solving, process improvement and change management skills with the ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively.
    • Proven experience working with and influencing senior leaders and executives.
    • Ability to link actions to the company strategy and performance.
    • Exhibit maturity and self-control, even in situations involving conflict or stress.
    • Experience working in a fast pace, public, international, technical organization with an evolving culture from start up to maturing.
    • Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.
    • Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively.
    • Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.
    • Take initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation.
    • Analytical and embraces technology.
    • A good understanding of Australian HR Legislation and ideally with experience dealing with the FairWork Commission.

    3. Attends and participates in continuing educational programs and in-services as requested, which may require overnight travel.
    4. Ability to work on and comprehend computerized technology.
    5. Protects patients/residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
    6. Must be able to speak the English language in a comprehendible format.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    1. Subject to lifting, carrying and supporting patients/residents.
    2. Must be able to lift medical equipment, supplies, etc.
    3. Must be able to move (walk, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
    4. Must be constantly alert for patient/resident safety.
