    SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER-PCB DESIGN

     

    Candidate will be a key member of the design engineering team responsible for supporting all aspects of electronics and system development including electronic schematic generation, procurement/kitting of parts for prototype builds as well as lab support of the engineering teams debug and integration efforts.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Mechanical packaging and system development including printed wiring board (PWB) and flextape designs, cast and machine part drawings, circuit card assembly drawings and thermal and dynamic analysis

    • Design printed wiring boards / Flextapes- Familiar with both Military and Industry design standards

    • Interface with subcontractors of PWB's and circuit card assemblies (CCA) and casting and machining houses

    • Will support customer-funded contracts as well as IR&D-funded contracts.

    • Will require working knowledge of addressing EMI/EMC environments

    Required Skills

    CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

     

    • Knowledge and experience in printed wiring board / Flextape design - Familiar with both Military and Industry design standards.
    • Familiarity with designing PWB’s utilizing buried capacitors and high speed signals.
    • Circuit card assembly - Familiar with surface mount design and assembly processes.
    • Experience with use of PWB CAD software including design rule checking.
    • Experience with CAD software for 3D models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Familiarity with schematic capture software required (Altium tool preferred).
    • Understanding of electrical schematics.
    • Familiarity with electrical components and circuit cards.
    • Team player.
    • Results driven, action oriented.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

     

    • At least 7+ years experience in electronics design, development or repair
    • High school or equivalent; Associates degree, technical school or military training preferred
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available
    • Must be a US Citizen or be a US Permanent Residence Card Holder
